Head of the Bruketa&Zinic in child academy

Croatian and Azerbaijanian environmentalists met Children Academy members in Azerbaijan



 
The Second Children Academy operating in Azerbaijan in the framework of the SPARE held a next session on 28 February, 2012.
The Session was attended by Mrs. Firuza Sultanzadeh, Head of the «EkoSfera» Social and Ecological Center and Mrs. Helena Rosandich, a Croatian environmental specialist.
F. Sultanzadeh informed the children about the «EkoSfera» Center which comprises young scientists, teachers and students with expertise in ecological education, healthcare, protection of environment and cultural heritage.
Students received comprehensive information on ecological education, development of ecological and cultural tourism in Azerbaijan, national parks and reserves, environmental service and assistance for nature protection, including advocacy for healthy life among young generation and answers to questions of their interest.
Afterwards, Mrs. Helena Rosandich, Head of the Bruketa&Zinic OM (Croatia) Company’s Azerbaijan Representation provided information to participants on global warming and its impacts, environmental pollution and other ecological problems, including, ecotourism options of Croatia.
H. Rosandich called students and their peers to join the World Clean UP 2012 ecological campaign between March 24 and March 25, 2012. «If we want to make our countries and the Earth Planet a paradise, first and foremost we need to keep our city clean and flourishing, take care of the Nature and help. For this purpose, I’m calling all of you to join these important and noble actions!» — said H. Rosandich.
In the end, guests answered to questions of children.
The Second Children Academy with participation of 12-15 years old children will run through June 2012. The Academy attendees will be awarded with Climate Justice Campion Certificates.
The First Child Academy in Azerbaijan was held in January-June of 2011.
